Prinsjesfestival, festival of democracy, offers for the first time several PrinsjesArrangementen. The ticket sales of the packages, including a Prinsjes Breakfast at the Hofvijver and a royal PrinsjesHighTea, has started.

On September 15th, the Saturday before Prinsjesdag, Prinsjesfestival, together with the province of Gelderland, will take a great day out in The Hague. Four different day arrangements will be offered this year on Saturday 15 September 2018.

Citizens and administrators can mingle at the PrinsjesBreakfast on the Hofvijver on Saturday 15 September at 09.30.

Following the example of Barcelona and London, the Hague Hat Walk takes place for the first time around the Binnenhof, a walk for participants wearing a hat. The popular hat parade PrinsjesHatwalk, the largest in the Netherlands, shows beautiful hats from top designers and talented students.

For a surprising introduction to the Hofstad, there is also a PrinsjesVaart through the city’s canals in The Hague, with attention for our democracy and monarchy that meet on Prinsjesdag.

The PrinsjesMarkt takes place for the first time on the Plein, at the foot of the Binnenhof. There are dozens of stalls, including hats, bags and jewelry. There is also a wide range of food trucks.

The visitor center beneath the medieval vaults of the Ridderzaal is open to the public and offers a presentation of the Golden Coach with the parade on Prinsjesdag.

A limited group can take part in a tour of the Ridderzaal itself that ProDemos – House for Democracy and the Rule of Law – provides.

PrinsjesHighTea aan het Plein not only offers visitors tea, but also serves a variety of sweet and savory snacks.

Visitors can choose from no less than four packages:
