Twenty young new Archipel residents from Syria, Eritrea and other countries have lived  on Sumatrastraat for almost a year now. They are learning the Dutch language and how to find their way in Dutch culture and society. Their library is well-stocked. What they need now are social contacts and technical skills.

For that reason a small workshop has been set up for electronic and mechanical repairs. The tools are there. The management is now looking for volunteers who will teach the occupants simple skills. And others who will bring things that need mending so that the repairmen can try their hand. Bicycle repair will be the spearhead.
